Workright Centre for Entrepreneurship introduces BSMART
Another great SA invention being developed under the Workright Centre for Entrepreneurship is the BSMART fully automated, modular, mobile waste processing plants which convert solid waste to non-kiln fired Green Bricks™ and pavers in situ. Results from the Research and Development undertaken by BSMART and the University of South Australia were presented in a Report entitled “Development and commercial applications of crumbed rubber reinforced pavers/bricks” at the prestigious Australasian Conference on the Mechanics of Structures and Materials” in Brisbane, in December 2018. In 2019 BSMART, UniSA and SA Water are conducting further Research and Development related to the recycling of waste generated by the filtration of potable water.
Earlier Research and Development was undertaken with alliance partners University of Adelaide and Nyrstar.
