Centre for Entrepreneurship

The Centre for Entrepreneurship was originally formed through an alliance between Workright Australia and Baylor University (Texas, USA).

The alliance allowed Workright Australia to provide aspiring Australian entrepreneurs with Baylor University’s internationally renowned Entrepreneurship Program, which was offered in the United States by the Hankamer Business School at Baylor University, under the leadership of Dr Larry Chonko.

The Entrepreneurship Program courseware was customised in line with the original Australian Qualifications Training Framework, and aligned with National Competency Standards from the Business Services Training Package.

It has been updated several times to retain currency as a truly world-class program.

More recently we have aligned with the US based, Alliance for Enterprise Leadership, to establish the Full Spectrum Academy.  The Full Spectrum Business Education Programs were originally created by Dr Alex Alexander who had worked with Michael E Gerber, the world’s leading authority on small business and entrepreneurship and founder of the E-Myth Mastery Program that has been applied in over 70,000 businesses worldwide. This program became the standard for excellence in the business world in the new millennium.

GEM College of International Business was commissioned by the Full Spectrum Academy to align the Full Spectrum Business Education Programs with the Diploma of Business and the Diploma of Leadership and Management, to provide credit status through recognition of prior learning towards full qualifications for those who have undertaken the business coaching programs and applied their competencies on the job in a consistent manner, and for those who seek to undertake the Full Spectrum program as a nationally recognized qualification.

Intensive training courses are offered around the year. To find out more about the Centre for Entrepreneurship, contact us at www.gem-college.com/contact/

In addition to the high quality academic programs available at each Workright Centre for Entrepreneurship, is the provision of a wide range of business solutions consultancy services, including management advice and support services for start up entities, entrepreneurs and inventors/innovators.

Workright Australia’s Management team has followed the “Baylor model” in establishing a Reference Committee for the Entrepreneurship program.

In 2012, Workright Australia established the GEM College of International Business (Global), which is now licensing a network of GEM College of International Business campuses throughout Australia, Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa (see www.gem-college.com).

Following the outstanding success of the Workright Centre for Entrepreneurship in Adelaide, it is envisaged that new Centres for Entrepreneurship will be established in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and the Gold Coast, and be co-located with the GEM College of International Business “bricks and mortar” campuses.

Intensive training courses are offered throughout the year.
